64 bit SDK in windows 8 was created by kaiyer
Has anyone had success with MingGW to test the SDK with 64 bit libraries under Windows 8. The code crashes when calling ssc_data_create() in example1_pvwatts.c

thanks

It looks like 32 bit SSC library works perfectly fine. Does the development team have a newer version of the 64bit library for windows that I could try.

Can anyone in the SDK development team provide some feedback on this forum?

Hello,

We will be releasing a new version of the SDK with new libraries in a few weeks when we release the next version of SAM.

There was a problem with library names in earlier versions of the SDK that sound similar to what you are experiencing. Please check that you are using the current version of the SDK, labelled as Version 2014-1-21.

Best regards,
Paul.

Paul:
Thanks for your comment. Two users including myself independently tested the Windows-64 bit library and found the same issue.
We will wait for the new release since its just a few weeks away.

thanks
Kumar

Thanks Kumar. We will be sure to test the new version of the SDK on 64-bit Windows 8 before we release it.

Best regards,
Paul.
