Not sure what's going here. My internet connection is working find.

Dear Donald,
Do you know if you are using a web proxy server to connect to the internet? If so, that might be preventing SAM from connecting to the NREL servers. You can create a proxy configuration file to allow SAM to connect using your proxy server address.
To create a proxy configuration file:
If you do not have information about the proxy server or are not using one, please let me know and I will email you a registration key.
Best regards,
Paul.
Do you know if you are using a web proxy server to connect to the internet? If so, that might be preventing SAM from connecting to the NREL servers. You can create a proxy configuration file to allow SAM to connect using your proxy server address.
To create a proxy configuration file:
If SAM is open, close it.
Open the SAM installation folder (it contains the sam.exe executable file).
Use a text editor to create a new empty text file named proxy.txt
Put one line in the text file with your organization's web proxy server's address on a single line. For example if the server's address is "proxy-server.myorganization.org," then the file should have the single line:
proxy-server.myorganization.org
To specify a custom port, add it to the name with a colon separator (no spaces). For example, if the server address is "proxy-server.myorganization.org," and the custom port number is 9142, the file should have the single line:
proxy-server.myorganization.org:9142
Save the file.
Close SAM.
If you do not have information about the proxy server or are not using one, please let me know and I will email you a registration key.
Best regards,
Paul.

Wish SAM can provide an option button for proxy setting in next version. I have found it in the help content, but maybe an option can make SAM much easier.

Hello,
We implemented this approach to test an eventual solution like you describe that would not require the file. Did the proxy configuration file solution work for you?
Best regards,
Paul.

Hello Paul
The proxy configuration file solution works for me.
I use SAM in my company where I must accesses internet with a proxy generally, but sometimes I need to work at field, so I need to delete/rename the configuration file because the proxy is not needed.
Best regards!

Thank you for letting us know that the proxy configuration file works for you. It is helpful for us to know that you'd like a way to enable or disable it. We will consider that as an improvement to the current solution.
Best regards,
Paul.
