Paul,
I am also having problems with SAM crashing when viewing the results. It seems that trying to view
- Time series
- Daily
- Profiles
- Heat map
will all cause the crash.
I don't necessarily need all these reports right now but it's frustrating to have the whole thing crash like it does. I've sent an email requesting the debug version to help.
Russell.

We finally solved this problem. It turns out that there was a bug in the code that calculated the date and time to display on the x-axis of the graphs in SAM's data viewer. The bug causes the viewer to crash when the time zone on your computer's operating system (Windows or OS X) is greater than GMT+7. That is why all of the people who reported experiencing the problem are from Australia.
The bug will be fixed in the next SAM update. In the meantime, you can work around the issue by changing your computer's location setting to one with a time zone of GMT+7 (for example, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam are all GMT+7 countries) or less.
Thanks to everyone who helped us track this down.
Best regards,
Paul.
