Hi

I have been successfully been using SAM for several years on the same computer, windows 7 64bit. I have just installed 2014.11.24 and was trying the default PV models included in SAM. After I run the simulation and start looking at various outputs, Sam keeps randomly crashing with the error message "Sam.exe" has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution" as I try to open various simulation pages.

I have tried both the 32 and 64 bit version and both have the same fault.

Is there more detail or a log file I can send you?

Steps I did to cause fault as an example
1 "start a new project"
2 "photovoltaic detailed"
3 "commercial distributed"
4 "ok"
5 "simulate"
6 "cash flow"
7 "data"
8 "time series"
CRASH
Note crash has occurred when selecting different output pages, not just "time series"

Hi Mark,

Thanks for this. We've tried on a few different computers and haven't been able to replicate the crash (yet!).

We did come across some problems with the data viewer during the Beta test that we fixed, but it looks like there may still be a bug we did not find.

Are you using a large or small screen (laptop or desktop)? What operating system are you using?

Would you be willing to help us debug this issue? It would involve installing a special version of SAM and sending us log files that it generates.

PS
Windows 7, service pack 1, 64 bit.
Sony laptop (effectively running as a "desktop"), with external HDMI monitor 1920 by 1024 only.

We finally finished the debugging tool -- I sent you instructions by email.
