Is there a way to verify how close the station ID shown after choosing a weather file in SAM is? I read that it is not actually a weather station, but a gird location on the map. Does the data come from the grid location, or the nearest weather station? How can I visualize the size of the gridpoint relative to the location or the nearest weather station (if data actually comes from weather station?).

Thank you!

Hi Zachary,

Please see this post for an answer to your question:

sam.nrel.gov/forum/forum-general/3313

You can use the NSRDB data viewer to see a map showing the size of the grid cells:

Best regards,
Paul.
