User-defined HTF in Power Tower was created by Carlos_nr
Hi,

I am trying to define Hitec salt in a power tower system and I'm getting negative values for energy. I define it using the ecuations giving in next document:

www.researchgate.net/profile/Philippe_Blanc2/post/How_do_I_create_a_solar_field_during_simulate_Parabolic_trough_power_plant_within_TRNSYS/attachment/59d6318dc49f478072ea1198/AS%3A273625641357334%401442248844674/download/SAM-CSP.pdf

Thanks,

Carlos

Dear Carlos,

That link is to a very old draft description of SAM's empirical trough model. Please see the Help system in the current version of SAM (also available as a PDF on the Download page at sam.nrel.gov/download) for instructions.

Also, the following post on the SAM Support forum may be helpful:

sam.nrel.gov/node/75889

Best regards,
Paul.
