Hello everyone,

I just started my thesis which is about parabolic solar trough modelling using SAM to evaluate the technical and economical feasibility of a power plant.

I am working know in way to understand the calculation process of SAM model using Trnsys listing files, can you if possible provide me help or any information about this listing files:

1. TRNSYS Type 807: Powerplant, Fossil Backup and Powerplant Parasitics from Excelergy
2. TRNSYS Type 806: Thermal Storage and Dispatch Model based on Excelergy

Kind regards

Dear Said,
The TRNSYS source code for those types is available with SAM 2014.1.14 and older versions. Since version SAM 2014.11.24, SAM does not use the TRNSYS simulation engine.
To download older versions of SAM, you need to register on the SAM website. When you log on to the site, on the Downloads page , you'll see a list of old versions in the box under Legacy Versions.
Best regards,

Paul.
