Dear Mr. Gilman,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I realized that recently, however, as I mentioned, my actual problem is with the cashflow (single owner) LCOE calculation. L followed the instructions in (samrepo.nrelcloud.org/help/mtf_lcoe.htm) but couldn't produce a similar LCOE as of the conventional performance model results.

I attached the SAM file I am using with the weather file, in addition to an excel sheet at which I tried to get the same LCOE as in the SAM file.

Kindly have a look on these whenever appropriate.

Please find attached:
1) SAM file
2) Weather file
3) Excel sheet (for LCOE calculation)

Hi Mohammed,

You can see how SAM calculates the LCOE for the Single Owner financial model by using the cash flow send to Excel feature with your .sam file:

1. Run a simulation.

2. On the Results page, click Cash flow to display the project cash flow.

3. Click Send to Excel with equations. SAM will open an Excel file with input data from the SAM file.

4. In the Excel file, go to the Cash Flow tab. The LCOE calculations are shown around Line 143.

Best regards,
Paul.

Hello Mr. Gilman,

Thanks a lot for your valuable instructions.
I already checked the cashflow excel sheets with equations, my main problem is that the summation of annual costs of the SPT and WT individual models does not match the annual costs of the combined SPT-WT case by generic feature despite having the exact same financial inputs in each model. Similar results for the equity..

I also have a minor difference in the annual generated energy.

The calculation of single SPT (or WT) case is quite straight forward as the NPV of annual costs and that of Annual energy generation are found as variables in the LK environment. However, the calculation of LCOE for a combined SPT-WT is not as easy.

Do you suggest any simplified LK script for calculating the LCOE for a SPT-WT combined case?

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate your help.

Note;
I attached the following files just in case you would like to check them out:
- WT single owner (5 WT LCOE CALC).
- SPT single owner (TES 16 LCOE CALC).
- combined SPT-WT single owner (TES 16 + 5 WT LCOE CALC).
- Manual calculation of LCOE (LCOE manual CALC).
