How to use utility rate calculator in another project was created by sichen
Hi everybody,
I've just started working with SAM and am really impressed!
We're working on another open source project (opentaps.org) and would like to calculate the value of energy savings and energy generated from renewables based on utility rates. I saw that SAM had the utility rate database and utility calculator, and we'd like to be able to use this in our project. Was this originally developed in SAM or from another open source project?
Thanks!

Hi Si Chen,
The source code for SAM's electricity bill calculator is here:
github.com/NREL/ssc/blob/develop/ssc/cmod_utilityrate5.cpp
I answered your other questions here:
sam.nrel.gov/forum/forum-sdk/2895-how-to-use-utility-rate-calculator-in-another-project.html
Best regards,
Paul.
