Are you describing variables that you see in SAM, or are you asking me how to calculate those values from SAM variables?

If you are describing variables in SAM, can you tell me specifically where you see them?

Hi Paul,

Can you describe how to calculate the annual average and peak solar to electric conversion efficiency for tower and trough systems and also solar field efficiency.

I have done some calculations but would like to confirm from your side to avoid confusion and miscalculation.

The annual average solar field efficiency: Energy output from soalr field MWh/(DNI kWh/m2 * aperture area m2)

Annual Solar to electric Efficiency: Annual Energy Output/(DNI kWh/m2 * aperture area m2)

Is these formulas correct.? Also any ideas on how to calculate peak of these efficiencies.?

Hi,

Please let me know the correct formulas in case they are incorrect.
SAM Beta version has only 2 days left from expiring, so I might have to run again for some values if these are not the correct ones indeed.
