Weather data epw

Dear Tech support team,

I am using an epw file and while simulating a PV system an eroor message pops, as follows:

exec fail(pvsamv1): failed to process irradiation on surface 1 (code: -1) [y:2004 m:4 d:16 h:13]
Simulation pvsamv1 failed.

the file is downloaded from EnergyPlus Weather Data website for Hurghada site in Egypt.

Please advise.

Dear Karim,

That message tells you that there is a problem with the data for that time step. You can use the data viewer on the Location and Resource page to look at the values for that hour and see if you can identify the problem. Or, you can open the file in Excel and investigate the data there. Because the problem is with a single time step, you could correct it by hand without significantly affecting the results.
