I've experienced some troubles trying to open SAM files (1 year old) with the new SAM version. Basically I can't open them at all, the information is lost. Please advise. Thank you very much.
SAM 2014.11.24 cannot open the .zsam files from SAM 2014.1.14 and older versions.
The new version of SAM uses a new file format (.sam) and underlying data structure that allows for faster simulations, more flexibility in working with the model via the software development kit and scripting languages, and makes it easier for the software development team to improve and add new features to the software. The new data structure is different enough from the old one that we cannot easily translate old files to the new format. That means that for your current work in SAM 2014.1.14, you will need to re-create your SAM file(s) by hand. Note that we will continue to make old versions of SAM available, so you can always continue using your current version of SAM until you are ready to make the change to the new version.
