PVWatts v5 default module? was created by nino
I have found a list of more than 500 Sandia Modules in here:
sam.nrel.gov/sites/default/files/sam-library-sandia-modules-2014-1-14.csv
When I ran an online version of PVWatts v5, it's not possible to pick a particular module.
Is there a default module that PVWatts v5 picks, behind the "hood"? If that is so, then which one is it?
Thank you.

Dear Nino,
The PVWatts model does not model specific modules. Instead it models three general types of modules. You can read how it works in the PVWatts Technical Reference manual. To find the manual, go to PVWatts , click Help, and then click Technical Reference.
In SAM, you can either run the PVWatts model, or the detailed photovoltaic model, which models in the module and inverter as separate components and allows you to choose from lists of products available on the market.
Best regards,
Paul.

Thank you for the reply Paul.
I am trying to replicate the PVWatts v5 by taking a look at the SAM documentation as an actual PVWatts Version 5 Manual.pdf has been written a bit impoverished, and does not give precise insight the way your SAM Photovoltaic Model (pvsamv1) Technical Reference.pdf does.
