Hello,
I am trying to use a weather file for a custom location using Meteonorm.
When I try to run simulations SAM crashes.
The file is attached for your inspection.
Can you please help?

Dear Seçkin,
Your file seems to run fine for me. What kind of system are you modeling? There may be another input that is causing SAM to crash.
Best regards,
Paul.

Hello Paul,
I am trying to model a commercial solar Project using PVWatts.
It also crashes when modelling flat plate.
The system Works normally when I use other locations..
SAM version is 2014.1.14 running on Windows 7.
The file has hourly data in TMY3 format but it is a csv file.
Are there any settings I need to set first before uploading a csv file?
Other weather files which work normally have tm2 or epw extensions.
Thanks a lot.
Seckin

Dear Seckin,
To use your data in SAM 2014.1.14, you should use the TMY3 Creator to ensure that the data is in the correct format.
In SAM 2014.11.24, you can use the new SAM CSV format. The new weather file reader is much more forgiving than the old one and provides more useful feedback when there are problems with the data.
Best regards,
Paul.
