No. SAM cannot model a CSP/coal hybrid power plant.

It can model a CSP plant with fossil backup, where a gas-fired boiler provides supplemental heat to the solar field. We are also working on an Integrated Solar Combined Cycle (ISCC) model that we hope to have available in the next one or two versions of SAM.

No, SAM version 2015.1.30 does not have the capability to model ISCC plants- CSP hybridization with gas turbines. As Paul mentions above, that capability will hopefully be released in the next one or two versions of SAM.
