I would like to confirm the calculation fomula of solar position used in SAM. I found the calculation fomula in the NREL document, "Technical Manual for the SAM Physical Trough Model", which was published in June, 2011. Is the fomula in the document used in the current version SAM?
Also, can we output the houly data of solar position in SAM?

Hello,
Yes, the physical trough reference manual describes the solar position equations in SAM's physical trough model. You can see the sun angle values in the hourly results. They are listed as "Solar azimuth angle," and "Solar elevation angle."
