Power cycle efficiency was created by iit.vineet
I have notice hourly output value in tabulated from that the power cycle efficiency more than rated cycle efficiency in different hour. For example in case of parabolic trough the default value is 37.74% but in output table the maximum value is found 38.89%. Why it is higher than rated cycle efficiency? What is the efficiency curve when turbine run at part load?
Please suggest me.
Thanks.

Dear Vineet,
The power cycle efficiency input value is a nominal value based on design conditions. SAM calculates the hourly efficiency values based on operating conditions, which vary throughout the day and year.
For details, see the physical trough model reference manual, which you can download from the Performance Model Documentation page .
Best regards,
Paul.
