When doing heliostat field layout optimization for a central receiver system, SAM gives an image of what the plant may look like. The layout is shown using radial zones and azimuthal zones. What is the physical radial distance from one radial zone to the next?

Hello,

You should be able to estimate the distance using the radius defined by the minimum and maximum distance from tower values shown on the Power Tower model's Heliostat Field page and the number of radial zones along the radius.
