Hello Paul

Could you verify that my understanding of the following concepts is correct when applied to electricity exported and electricity imported that is used to meet parasitic load for a LFR please?

The reason for splitting the electricity into export and import is that the amount paid for exported electricity differs from that paid for imported electricity that is used to meet parasitic load.

1. Does the "Gross cycle power output" give the total amount of electrical power produced by the LFR's generator for export to the grid?
2. Does "Gross cycle power output" less "Net plant power output" give the total parasitic load that is the amount imported from the grid?

Regards

Dear William,

Yes. The difference between "gross" and "net" output is the system's parasitic consumption, and is a reasonable way to estimate the energy imported from the grid by the system.

Best regards,
Paul.
