Savings and then finding project files was created by mhdraper
What is the protocol for saving project files? I've been working on the same file off and on for several weeks. Changing numerous characteristics of systems components and financial criteria. I'd like to know where project files are stored in the software.

I'm finding that the that last folder I used for other tasks is the often where my SAM project data is located. This is a bit confusing.

Shouldn't the software have a dedicated folder used to save *.zam files?

Hello,

You can save SAM files (.zsam) anywhere on your computer. SAM uses your computer's operating system (Windows or OS X) to determine what folder it opens when you click the save button. It is up to you to navigate to the folder where you want to keep your files.

If you save a file and then cannot find it, try searching your computer for all files with the .zsam extension. For example, in Windows, you can use the file browser's search function to search for '.zsam'.

Best regards,
Paul.
