Energy estimation for Trough and Tower systems

I am using SAM to estimate the cost associated with a tower and trough system having same ratings of 100 MW. The energy obtained from the solar field for trough is estimated to be higher than the energy obtained from tower solar field. However I understand that tower system is more efficient that trough. Please clarify why I am getting the other way regarding the efficiency. Thanks

There are many factors that affect the system's output -- in some cases, tower and trough systems with the same nameplate capacities may perform as you describe, but not always. Also note that the default systems for the trough and tower models are in different locations, and have different storage capacities.
