Looking for details in Excel Exchange was created by Joselobo
Hello, this is my problem:

I´m trying to get some specific data from the escalated cost when i use your cost spreadsheet (sam-costs-2013-molten-salt-power-tower), but when i run a simulation the values from SAM doesn´t remain in the spreadsheet and i can´t get what i´m looking for. ¿Do you know what can i do to keep the values from SAM in the spreadsheet after the simulation?

Greetings.

José Manuel Lobo

Dear José,

When you run Excel Exchange, SAM opens a copy of the workbook in computer memory, and uses that copy to read and write values. When the simulation is finished, SAM closes the copy of the workbook without saving the values. It does not modify the Excel Exchange file that is saved on disk.

Best regards,
Paul.

Dear José,

I'm not sure that the temporary file is ever stored on disk where it can be recovered. I think it is only open for a few moments while the data exchange process takes place.

Best regards,
Paul.
