i would like to know if this system (SAM) can be used for other countries besides the US

Yes, however to use SAM you need a weather file with solar resource and weather data for your location. Please see SAM's help system or search this forum for more details about finding weather data for non U.S. locations.

If you are interested in SAM's financial models, you should be aware that they are designed with U.S. projects in mind. However, the financial models are general enough to be useful for projects outside of the U.S. You should also be sure to use cost assumptions in your analysis that are appropriate for your country.
