It would be helpful to be able to tell a prospective customer how many pounds of CO a particular size PV Array would eliminate.

Dear David,
Thank you for the suggestion.
For now, SAM's PV model does not include carbon or other emissions analysis. How much carbon dioxide or other emissions a PV system avoids depends on where it is installed, and what source of electricity would have been used without the PV system.
If you have information about emissions factors for a given system, you can use the PV system's hourly, monthly, or annual output from SAM to estimate the avoided emissions outside of SAM.
We keep track of suggestions like these, and if we can get support to implement them, will do so.
