Comparing annualized energy price multipliers was created by awarudkar
I built 3 models for a 3MWac PV plant. Fixed tilt (20degrees), SAT (0 degrees) and SAT(20 degree tilt). The annualized price multiplier for Fixed and SAT (20 degree) come out to be same... but a much higher for SAT (zero degrees). IS this normal ? What is the logic behind this ? {location Southern California}

Hello,
I'm not sure what you mean by "annualized price multiplier." Can you tell me which SAM result you are describing, or how you are calculating the multiplier?
Also, if you can attach your .zsam file to your original post (click Edit above, and then scroll to the middle of the page to attach the file), I'll have a better chance of answering your question.
Best regards,
Paul.

Paul.. when I run the model and copy the results in an excel .. my top three rows are as follows :
Year 0 1 2 3 4 5 6
Energy (kWh) 0 6522718 6490104 6457654 6425366 6393239 6361273
Energy Price ($/kWh) 0 0.108 0.109 0.11 0.112 0.113 0.114
Energy Value ($) 0 706428.63 709925.44 713439.56 716971.13 720520.13 724086.69
I think the row which says Energy Price ($/kwh) is some annualized average of (PPC price + TOD multipliers) ... it is this number that comes same for Fixed tilt and SAT-20degree tilt ... but higher for SAT-zerodegree ... Does that make sense ?

Hello,
That helps a little, but without seeing what the time-of-delivery (TOD) multipliers are, I can't be sure what is causing the effect you are seeing.
Is the output of the system with the horizontal array higher than for the tilted arrays in hours when the multipliers are also high? Perhaps the timing of the multipliers favors an array that maximizes output during the summer months when a horizontal array produces more electricity than a tilted one.
Best regards,
Paul.
