We are trying to show the effect of improved efficiency on lowering CPV LCOE. However, when we increase the cell efficiency, the nameplate capacity goes up and actually making the LCOE go up. How do we adjust for this to get the desired result?
For the High-X Concentrating PV model, changing the cell's reference efficiency changes the module nameplate capacity when you do not also change the cell area or number of cells in the module. One benefit of using a more efficient cell might be that you could use a smaller cell to get the same electrical output at reference conditions as a larger, less efficient cell.
You can also change the system's capacity by changing the number of modules in the array (on the Array page).

Paul.
