Collector azimuth angle input field ghosted in CSP Linear Frensel was created by williampaulbell
Hello Paul
Could you let me know if there is a way to alter the "Collector azimuth angle" field in the CSP Linear Fresnel technology. The field is currently ghosted.
Regards
William Bell

Dear William,
The linear Fresnel model's collector azimuth angle input variable is only active with one of the incident angle methods of characterizing the collector optical characteristics on the Collector and Receiver page. When the option on that page is "Solar position table," the azimuth angle variable on the Solar Field page is inactive (or ghosted, as you note).
On a related note, it turns out that there is a bug that causes the variable to be inactive with the "Collector incidence angle table option" when it should be active. We will fix that in an update that we plan to release soon. (Your question helped us find the bug, so thanks!)
Here is the correct behavior:
Optical Characterization Method
Azimuth Angle Status
Solar position table
Inactive
Collector incidence angle table
Active
Incidence angle modifiers
Active
Best regards,
Paul.
