Question about TMY Data was created by Paul Gilman
I am working in SAM for CSP technology applications, and I am using the the TMY data for Kuwait, but I keep getting the following message whenever I use the TMY file I have: "Invalid weather file (...) check data for hour 1". I have attached an excel file showing the first couple of data so as to know where is the error. Also, the TMY file I have has a ".csv" extension. I would highly appreciate your help in finding out the error.

Data sample:

#
#Data:
Day;Time;GHI;DNI;DIF;SE;SA;TEMP;WS;WD;RH;WBT;AP
1;0:30;0;0;0;-79.4;-131.7;13.7;1.6;241;67.5;11.7;985.4
1;1:30;0;0;0;-67.8;-101.2;13.6;2.4;216;63.0;11.3;984.6
1;2:30;0;0;0;-54.8;-91.0;14.4;4.9;139;58.7;11.7;983.8

The data you provided is not in either the TMY2 or TMY3 format that SAM can read. I would recommend using SAM's TMY3 Creator feature to convert your data to the TMY3 format.

For a description of the TMY3 format, see the TMY3 User's Manual on the NREL National Solar Radiation Database website.

Best regards,
Paul.
