The Australian Solar Thermal Energy Association (AUSTELA) has posted the Australian Companion Guide to SAM for Concentrating Solar Power with SAM files and weather files for representative Australian sites and years on
their website

Although the weather files were developed for analyzing concentrating solar power (CSP) projects, you can also use them in SAM to model photovoltaic projects.
These materials were developed by AUSTELA under a project supported by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). The work was done by IT Power Australia in collaboration with NREL.
