About PV and Wind to load data generation was created by Muhammad Irfan
Hi,
I modeled a hybrid system with PV, wind, and battery components. Now, I need to extract detailed data for each source individually—specifically, PV-to-load, wind-to-load, and battery-to-load. Currently, SAM only provides System-to-Load data, and I am unable to find a command or option to separate contributions from PV, wind, and battery. Can you guide me on how to extract these individual component flows in SAM?
Regards,
Muahammad Irfan

Hi Muhammad,
SAM's hybrid power models run a simulation for each power generating component of the system (in this case PV and wind), and adds them together to calculate the total available power that may be used to charge the battery or be delivered to the grid and/or electric load. It does not report separate PV-to-load power and wind-to-load power. It does report battery-to-load power.
You can see the output of the PV system and wind system separately: The "Wind system power generated" and "Photovoltaic system power generated" show the power ouptut of each component.
Best regards,
Paul.
