Feedback Request: Green H2 Project Calculatorshare that we have recently develop was created by Ryan
For those involve in the green h2 indusrtry, we'd like share that we have recently developed a calculator for the Green H2 Project, which outlines the basic economics of the project from photovoltaic (PV) systems to proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) power conversion.
H2 Project Calculator The parameters used in the calculator are based on market experience, insights from our suppliers, and our historical performance data.
We would greatly appreciate any feedback or suggestions on how we can improve this tool.
P.s. we hope that NREL does not view this post as spam.

Hey Ryan,Thanks for sharing this—it's cool to see tools like the Green H2 Project calculator making renewable energy economics more accessible. I stumbled on your post while digging into PV and fuel cell projects (even though it's from last year, it's still super relevant with all the green tech buzz in 2025). The market-based parameters sound spot-on, and it's great you're open to feedback. I like how it breaks down the full chain from PV to PEMFC; maybe adding a section for variable energy costs (like fluctuating fuel prices) could make it even more dynamic? For comparison, I've been using a simple

to estimate traditional fuel costs in hybrid setups—it's basic but helps highlight the savings from H2. What do you think about integrating something like that for broader comparisons? Would love to hear your thoughts if you're still monitoring this!
