Why isn't there a Net Profit Line item in the financials in the Cash Flow section?

Hello,

For the Single Owner financial model, the "Total after-tax returns ($)" line item indicates the net cash to the system owner in each year.

Best regards,
Paul.

Are you sure? Because in the corporate world, there's always a net profit line item.

SAM's financial models report a net after-tax cash flow that it uses to calculate the net present value and other metrics of the energy project as modeled. Its purpose is to help you explore the technical and economic feasibility of different potential system designs, financial structures, costs, incentives, etc.

The project being modeled may be for one owned by a for-profit corporation, non-profit corporation, or government or other entity, and may be in the U.S. or another country. For a real project that is actually being developed, the definitions and terminology used in the actual cash flow are likely to be different from SAM's basic pro-forma cash flow.

Best regards,
Paul.
