CSP p90 analysis problem was created by dmantena
I am trying to perform P50/P90 analysis on a CSP plant. The simulation always stops after a couple of years with the following error message:

Error during exceedance probability simulation:

Any suggestions? I am getting the same error regardless of weather location and renewable energy plant.

Hello,

This is a known issue with the weather files that the P50/P90 analysis uses. The solar radiation data in the files is complete over the multi-year period, but there are gaps in the meteorological data for many of the locations. SAM's CSP models need temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind speed data to calculate thermal losses, so those models will fail when they encounter a weather file with missing or problematic meteorological data. The photovoltaic models are less reliant on the meteorological data, so the missing data is less of a problem for those models.

Best regards,
Paul.
