Battery only charge from clipping and grid limited power

Hi 

I have a FOM PV-Battery system with a DC connected battery with manual dispatch. I have selected the battery can charge from grid-limited system power and clipped system power.

However, I want to limit the battery to charge only when the PV energy is being curtailed/clipped. Is there a way to select this?

Hi Michael,

For the manual dispatch option, when you choose the Battery can charge from clipped system power option on the Battery Dispatch page (available only for DC-connected batteries), it is not possible to limit charging to only clipped power.

For the automated dispatch option, it is possible to limit charging to only clipped power by clearing the Battery can charge from system and Battery can charge from grid options.

Thanks for the response. I worked out that for manual discharge if you untick the "Charge from System" option for the different dispatch periods it still uses the clipped and curtailed energy to charge. If those options are selected.

But thank you for your suggestion on the automatic dispatch!
