Hi Trinity,

The output variable "Annual AC energy in Year 1 (kWh)" is the sum of the "System power generated (kW)" values for Year 1, which includes battery power and inverter night-time power.

For a PV Battery configuration, "System power generated (kW)" includes power to and from the battery. For time steps when the battery is discharging, it is power from the PV system plus power from the battery. For time steps when the battery is charging, it is power from the system minus power to the battery. If the battery is allowed to charge from the grid, "System power generated (kW)" is negative for time steps when power from the grid is greater than AC power from the PV system.

For a PV system, "System power generated (kW)" includes power consumed by the inverter at night, so power from the system is negative at night to account for the inverter's night-time consumption.

Best regards,
Paul.
