Residential solar energy system was created by Best
Hi, my name is Best. I am a master's student working on a research project titled "Assessment of Battery Solutions for Residential Solar Energy Systems." My project aims to explore the assessment of battery solutions for residential setups using simulation tools. I have learned about the System Advisor Model (SAM) and am enthusiastic about utilizing it to simulate solar energy and battery storage setups for a typical three-bedroom apartment. However, as I am relatively new to SAM, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or insights you could offer regarding the most appropriate model types and configurations to use for my simulation. Thank you.

Hi Best,
You might find the videos posted on the following pages useful:
sam.nrel.gov/photovoltaic/pv-videos.html
sam.nrel.gov/battery-storage/battery-videos.html
You can also refer to SAM's Help system to find descriptions of inputs and information about how to navigate and use the software: Press the F-1 key or click the Help button at the top right corner of the SAM window to open the Help system.
If you have specific questions, please feel free to post them here.
Best regards,
Paul.
