Wake Effects of a wind farm was created by GabrielSimoes
Greatings to all

I'm trying to modeling a wind farm on SAM using a real turbine layout, by adding the turbulence coef. and choosing a Wake model.
But only Park (WAsP) model is returnig a wake loss value, even doe a wrong value, comparing with the value calculated out of SAM, with a diference more than 6%.

I would like to know if you have an idea why only Park (WAsP) is returning a wake loss value and why the value diference is so big?

Best regards.

Hello,

In my testing, I do see a difference in the "Wake losses" output and the annual energy when I change the wake model input:

If you are seeing different results and would like help troubleshooting, please attach a .sam file that demonstrates the problem.

Best regards,
Paul.

Thank you Paul for a quick response.

I would like to send you my SAM's project, but it involves a third party resource and wind farm layout.

Do you have an e-mail I can send you my files?

Best regards.
