About a microgrid and letter for invitation was created by Muhammad Irfan
Hi,
I am a PhD student at Macquarie University working with the System Advisor Model (SAM). Could you please guide me on how to model a microgrid consisting of PV, solar, and battery storage, with grid integration, and define the load for some houses within this setup?
Secondly, I am applying to attend the 13th IEEE Electrical Energy Storage Applications and Technologies (EESAT) Conference, which will be held January 20-21, 2025, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown, Charlotte, NC. I am seeking funding approval from my university for this purpose. Could you please provide an invitation for me to visit your lab to gain further knowledge? I believe this visit would significantly enhance my understanding of the topics discussed at the conference. I would be grateful if you could schedule a visit slot for me between January 22-25, 2025.

Regards,
Muhammad Irfan

Hi Muhammad,

You can use the Detailed PV - Battery / Commercial configuration to model a microgrid application. See the Battery Videos page for videos on the topic of modeling systems with battery storage:

For information about visiting the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, see www.nrel.gov/about/visiting-nrel.html .

Best regards,
Paul.
