Shading on PV Arrray from co-located turbine was created by EmmanuelA
Hi!
For a co-located wind-solar park, I seek some assistance on ways to conduct the dynamic simulation of wind turbine shading on the PV array.
Any aid besides modelling turbines as a static object obstruction please?

Hi Emmanuel,
SAM does not have a model for calculating the shading caused by wind turbines near the photovoltaic array as blades turn.
NREL has been involved in some research in that area, for example:

hopp.readthedocs.io/en/latest/hopp/simulation/technologies/layout/flicker.html
Best regards,
Paul.
