hello,

I know that the parameters wind power needs to operate are wind speed, wind direction, temperature and pressure. I'd like to know what equations each of these parameters fits into and how we find the energy production ("gen") from this?

I've read the document I found on the site: www.nrel.gov/docs/fy14osti/60570.pdf
but I don't quite understand

Hi Isaac,

Chapter 7 describes the turbine model and how it uses these parameters from the weather file to calculate the output of a single wind turbine.

Chapter 8 describes how the weather data is used to adjust the output of a wind farm to account for wake effects.
