Source for more recent weather data was created by corykellum
I am brand new to using SAM and NSRDB data. Is there a resource that includes weather data that is current up to the current month that would also include snow coverage that could be input into SAM? I've been poking around for the last few hours and can't seem to figure it out.

Hi Cory,
The weather data from the NSRDB PSM V3 does not have snow depth data. That data may be added in the future, but is not currently available.
NREL updates the NSRDB data periodically, but there is always a lag between the most recent year in the database and the present because of the time it takes to run the models and process the data. For now, as of February 2024, the most recent year is 2022.
You may be able to find more recent data from other data sources. We've listed some of those here:
sam.nrel.gov/weather-data.html
Best regards,
Paul.
