I recently integrated two PV models using the Generic System model and now I'm planning to integrate the combined PV model with an Energy Storage System (ESS). Therefore, I first want to know if this is possible. Also, I tried combining two PV models using the Generic System model, but the power generation was lower than the sum of the power generation from each PV model. Could you please explain the reason for this? I would appreciate it if you could also explain the principle behind it.
The method for the task I want to accomplish is as follows.
PV_1 model +PV_2 model > PV_alpha model
PV_alpha model +Generic system battery model > PV+battery model

Hi Dawon,
You can use the Generic-Battery performance model to model a battery that responds to a power generation profile that you provide as input.
Be sure to set the Generic System model's plant loss input to zero -- I think that may explain the reduction in power generation you observed.
Best regards,
Paul.
