Hi,
I am getting a constant System power generated if there is an Inverter AC clipping loss but if we compare it with pv-syst this is not the case. Can anyone suggest why I am getting this and what to change in the model.

Hi Amrit,

SAM does not allow the inverter output to exceed its AC rated capacity. This function of an inverter is called power limiting.

I'm not sure how this is handled in PVsyst.

Best regards,
Paul.

Is there any way to model sam so that we can get different  system power output when clipping loss occurs.

Hi Amrit,

Yes. SAM limits the system's power to the inverter's AC power rating. It also limits the array operating voltage to the inverter's minimum and maximum MPPT voltage rating, which affects the system power.

Best regards,
Paul.
