Hi all

I'm new to SAM and am looking to build an off-grid Solar plus battery storage system in SAM. There are a lot of resources on these topics and I have no clue where to start.

Is there an existing step by step guide on how to do this?

Hi Aproop,

I am not aware of a step-by-step guide for modeling off-grid solar-plus-storage systems in SAM. The following videos on the Battery Videos page might be helpful:

If you are new to SAM, you might also refer to the "Getting Started" and "Reference" sections of SAM's Help system which you can find by pressing the F1 key or clicking Help in SAM.

SAM is not designed to model off-grid systems, but the following topics discuss some approaches you can use to approximate an off-grid system:
