SAM Weather File Downloader not pulling closest weather data

Hello,

I am having an issue when downloading weather files from SAM using a latitude, longitude pair (US coordinates).

When I download the TMY file, the resulting files lat, long headers are about 25 miles from the lat, long i used as input.
When I switch to using a mail address, the software downloads a file that is much closer to the lat long I am looking for.

Is there a reason why SAM is not pulling the closest available weather file when I use lat, long?

Hi Kyle,

This is an issue we are investigating: github.com/NREL/SAM/issues/1526 .

We hope to have a fix for the Fall 2023 version of SAM or its first revision.
