Battery Bank Sizing was created by angeloazola@gmail.com
Under Battery Sizing, are the inputs for desired bank capacity and desired bank power values per day, month or annum?.
Secondly, what does the DC and AC mean, is it the indication of which side is the battery connected?
Your SAM webinars and presenters are not explaining these.

Hi Azola Ramona,

The "bank power" is the battery bank maximum discharge rate in kW. The "bank capacity" is the battery bank energy storage capacity in kWh. For example, a battery with bank capacity = 100 kWh and bank power = 25 kW could deliver 25 kW of power for 4 hours.

You can specify these units as AC kW and kWh or DC kW and kWh. SAM uses the Power Converters inputs on the Battery Cell and System page to calculate DC ratings if you provide AC units.

To specify an AC- or DC-connected battery use the option under "Power Converters:"

For more about these inputs, see the Help topic for the Battery Cell and System page. Press the F1 key or click Help in SAM. A copy of the Help system is also available on the web:

Best regards,
Paul.
