Biopower. Carbon and hydrogen content

In Biopower model>Feedstock page I have chosen Specify additional feedstocks> Feedstock 1 > Input dry higher heating value (HHV).

However in the not chosen alternative “Calculate HHV based on elemental composition”, the values of Carbon content (wt%) cannot be zero. If so, a message appears “exec fail(biopower): did not fully specify additional Feedstock 1, add carbon content.” The same happens wtih Hydrogen content.

The Carbon content and hydrogen content have to be specified in both alternatives?

Hi Javier,

SAM uses the elemental composition percentages in the simulation calculations, so they are required regardless of whether you provide the HHV value or use the option for SAM to calculate it automatically.
