SAM 2022.11.21 Mac - error enabling LandBOSSE model for wind was created by Florian Mandel
Hi there,
I get the below error message when trying to enable the LandBOSSE model under installation costs for my example wind project. As a result, none of the BOS cost results populate.
Could not evaluate callback function:en_landbosse->on_change
[116]: error in call to 'setup_landbosse()': Error installing python.[117]: eval error in statement list
[114]: eval error in statement list
I just downloaded SAM on an Apple Macbook Air M2 running macOS 13.3.1 (a)
Any idea what I can do? Thanks, Florian

Hi Florian,
SAM's integration with Python for this implementation of the LandBOSSE model is somewhat experimental and may not work properly on all operating systems. I have created an issue for this, but am not sure we will have the resources to address it for the next update to SAM: github.com/NREL/SAM/issues/1420
In the meantime, you might try installing the the model from its GitHub repository at github.com/WISDEM/LandBOSSE .
You can contact the repository contributors if you have questions about that implementation.
Best regards,
Paul.
