In SAM 2022.11.21 r2, there is a small bug that causes an error message to appear when you go to the Electric Load page for behind-the-meter (distributed) configurations without storage:
Could not evaluate callback function:Electric Load Data->on_load
[94]: eval error in statement list
[94]: error inside function call
[3]: eval error in statement list
This error does not affect SAM's functionality or simulation results, so you can ignore it.
We will
fix this problem
in an update. In the meantime, if you would like to fix the problem yourself to avoid the annoying message, you can use this workaround solution:
- If SAM is running close it.
- Download this .zip archive that contains an .lk script and .json file: github.com/NREL/SAM/files/11627730/sam-electric-load-ui-fix.zip.
- Unzip the archive into a folder that contains the two files: ui-fix.lk and Electric Load Data.json. Both files must be in the same folder for the script to work.
- Start SAM.
- From the Welcome page, click Open script and open the ui-fix.lk script.
- Click Run at the top of the script editor window.
- The script should replace the Electric Load Data.json file in your SAM installation with the new one that fixes the problem, and save the old one as Electric Load Data_old.json. When the script finishes, it automatically opens the runtime/ui folder so you can see the files.
- Close the runtime/ui folder.
- Close and restart SAM. Create or open a .sam file and check that the Electric Load page displays without an error message.
