I am trying to model a relatively small Linear Fresnel and am finding that the solar field area is incorrectly reported. For the current case I an actual aperture of 39774m2 and SAM calculates a Solar field ares of 9.82 acres (39740m2). Clearly there should be an allowance for gaps between mirrors as well as maintenance roads between rows of LF arrays.

        Hi Allan,
For the linear Fresnel model, the "solar field area" is simply the actual aperture area converted from square meters to acres.
You can use the Non-solar field land area multiplier to adjust the solar field area estimate to account for additional land requirements.
Best regards,
Paul.
